WAWOS In Schools

We believe in the positive growth that happens when children learn in an environment that celebrates diversity. Our WAWOS in Schools offers single-session, 3-session and 7-session programming that brings powerful disability representation directly into classrooms. The learning is aligned with grade school curriculum in US education systems.

In partnership with schools and educators, we engage through conversations and project-based activities that allow students to learn about inclusion, resilience, and the importance of seeing ability differently.

Our programs spark empathy, challenge stereotypes, and help create school communities where every student feels valued.

“It shouldn’t have to happen to you, for it to matter to you,” says WAWOS Founder, Jacquie Robison. “Raising thoughtful, kind, and inclusive children begins with conversations that celebrate disability as a natural part of human diversity, and removes stigma and false assumptions around disability.”
